Hello to every one!I'm new in the forum and i can see its excellent. can you tell me please an amount close to the quantity of the daily production of poultry waste from 250,000 broilers of a poultry breeding facility-slauterhouse in order to calculate the digeser volume?

Hi John,

Your operation is far bigger than the small scale systems I have any experience with, or that are described here. That said, the data I use in my online calculator is from Other Homes and Garbage by Leckie, Masters & Young. More information is available here. Scroll down to the table near the bottom of the thread for a copy of the table. It shows about 0.3 lb/day/chicken.

But looking up the information on line, this site: Land Application of Livestock and Poultry Manure, indicates .033 AU (animal units) per broiler for a liquid manure system, and .005 AU for a dry manure system. The type of manure management system you have makes a big difference. The same site give nutrient content.
