urine separation from main compost

Dear Bob,

Thanks for your suggestions so far.
Since you told me that it is desirable to keep urine separate from solid waste, I will concentrate on that goal through the design of the toilets used. So, a separate tube must be included to channel urine to its own digester with straw. But what organism actually does the work, and does fresh urine constantly mix with processed? How do I dispose of it? Suggested container configuration and size?

Thanks, Dean

There are a number of urine-separating toilets on the market, but I haven't personally used any of them to know how they compare. Here is a link to one. And a couple of pictures.
