two-stage digester with corrugated pipe

I've been thinking about building a digester similar to your two stage design and incorporating corrugated piping either for the first stage or second stage, but I'm not sure which option would be best. I would think that using corrugated piping for the second stage and placing the first stage chamber above the second would most closely resemble an animals digestion system. But I'm not sure if there would be an easy way to collect the biogas. Any thoughts?

Interesting ideas Seth,

By 'corrugated piping' do you mean the 3" - 4" diameter stuff that comes in a flexible coil? Or the larger diameter rigid pipe? If you could sketch what you have in mind, I could offer some ideas -- for what its worth...
