NASA has some interesting studies on the
Carbon cycle and mans place in it,it is
inspiring to see how much our lives depend on
photosynthesis and Soil organisms and how
enmeshed our so called waste products are in
the Cycles.what a terrible waste of resources
are current flush and forget ideas are.how
environmentally responsible we can get if we
just use what we know about Solar and Wind
and Methane generators to live in Nature..

Hey bob, hows it goin?cold enough for ya..ya know, all my life i kinda felt that it just was'nt right, and when i found some stuff about Solar energy and wind i started to think that our way of overpowering life by brute force was wrong and i had been right all along, the more i learned about Nature the more i realized that western man seems to hate and fear nature.instead of being a part of Nature we act like strangers, very rude strangers too..I suppose it has to do with the fact that western mans religion started in a harsh desert where the wind can come and steal your children and your flocks suddenly, without mercy,so our antagonistic relationship with nature comes from fear and when fear is the only motivation then hatred follows...I really admire you trying to live in harmony with nature in such an unforgiving place like Alaska!!.I'm in california where its easy to love nature, she is so gentle and mild, but where you are it must be a challenge to your equanimity to love her..so i used the tool for calculating the size and i got the output which is around 1/2 gallon propane equivalent..so now i know how much GAS i have to work with, thanks alot,,I'll be bock...

Hey Bob,I was walking through the Mall today
and i noticed how many planters they have and
then i had to pee and i realized that the
Mall would be an ideal place to practice
bio-regenerative life support methods because
when they are closed at night one could use
the bathroom resources in the planters, all
they need do is store them during the day or
maybe send it through the methane digester,
extract energy, then put it in the planters.

Office buildings can be made much more energy
and biologically efficient with a Roofgarden
as a way to mix fresh oxygenated air with
stale recirculated building air,the washwater
and toilet waste could be stored during the
day and the elevator could be used at night
to bring Plantfood to the methane digester or
compost pile thus repairing the break in the
cycles of Life.studies have shown that stale
building air is very unhealthy..

"... the Mall would be an ideal place to practice bio-regenerative life support methods because when they are closed at night one could use the bathroom resources in the planters, all they need do is store them during the day or maybe send it through the methane digester, extract energy, then put it in the planters."
Interesting idea. Any thoughts on turning it into reality? Do you know any local mall managers who might be amenable to at least discussing the idea? Maybe take some of Billy Wolverton's literature with you as background, and a sketch of how it might be applied.
Probably the safest -- and most acceptable to public health officials -- would be to have urinals (only, not toilets) and lavatories drain to holding tanks where urine is diluted with lavatory wastewater, then pumped to buried distribution piping in the planters on timed cycle at night. And design it to make sure that there is no possibility of this water coming anywhere close to the surface of the planter. i.e. install san-tees & overflow drains in plaanters, a foot or so below the surface.
