My local farmers produce a lot of ' Lucerne ' as a food supply for sheep farmers ( processed much the same as hay ). As they keep it stored outside some of it cannot be fed and goes to waste. Can the daily ' mucking out ' material from my stables be used . this would be aprox 50-60 Kgs of horse manure plus an additional 50-60 Kgs of urine soaked straw. Does the urine soaked straw pose a problem for a digester.
Is there any info about how much methane this much straw will generate.
